Its the beginning of August and I am in Florida just in time for a gulf coast tropical storm turn into a hurricane. These are always the best Hurricane Parties and usually have a Publix Cake. (We may not like the fact you discontinued hurricane cakes for the offended non Floridian, it doesn’t stop us from buying a blank one and requesting it be transformed!) I am down here visiting Mom as I begin my quest looking for a solution to go fetch my Dads Motorcycle and other stuff from Missouri. I started this journey last month when I accidentally bought a van in West Palm Beach.
That van had a bad tranny. I was fortunate to sell it immediately, only loosin slightly on that deal. Now, began the real search for a van, truck or bus. I really don’t know what I will acquire, but as I keep watching this auction site, I am traveling around in #TcVan 6, it could die on me any time. Like the other day I was traveling to some place called Hoover,Al. When I used the GPS coordinates from the site, I was taken to 1600 Champions way. I was thinking that is a great name for a school road. When Google said I arrived at my destination it was a grass field. I continued to the end of the road. I did not see a bus depot. I turned the the van around and went to the stop sign. That’s when this Pirate started to really laugh. I am crossing the street from Champions Way to Buccaneers Dr. Any one who knows me will know why I thought this to be so funny.
I made my way to the end of Buccaneers Dr, and located the depot. I eventually made it to the rear lot where I found all theses awesome square front end buses. I was poking around not really knowing what to look for, because each of these buses are so well maintained, if there is an issue with the bus they will let you know. They have been sitting, just like any bus you need to make sure everything really works before taking on the high way, but everyone knows. I don’t take the highway. While I was there, I saw the bus of my dreams. The one that I really want! The BlueBird short bus with a wheel chair lift. It is about 25’long. The only problem is they are not listed as of yet. I don’t know what the districts policy is on selling out right to people. But I assure you Monday I will know. Until then I am continuing with the fact that I must buy a vehicle soon that can either pull a trailer or hold a motorcycle. This next part of the journey is going to be that.
I have vehicles I want to see along the way from both the auction site and market places sites, even the occasional stop along the road and ask if this is for sale. I love buying End of life vehicles. Meaning that when I a done with them they are usually ready to go to the recyclers. TcVan 6 and 4.5 are both ready to be recycled. By September 13th we will need to be in Ohio for the 17th annual Buddy Walk. We have a lot to do between now and then.
Out Searching and noticed this AI Response... It made me think they are already looking at things as if this is the Star Trek Era like this could have been written in the 24th Century!
